Brendin’s checkup went fine. He was 21lbs (62nd percentile) and 30” long (90th percentile).
We took Davin to sign him up for soccer after spending a couple of days looking at soccer shoes. We took him to the huge indoor turf field he’ll be playing on and he was so excited he couldn’t even talk. When we pulled up he put his hands on his head and said “OOOOOOoh I’m so excited!” They were practicing baseball in there so he couldn’t run around. Today we went back to get his shoes and shin guards and he said “Can we go back to the stadium and see if the kids are there yet?” He wants to make his own team and he said he’s going to be the best soccer players he’s ever seen. Dad says practice up since Davin has seen his Dad play. :) So here he is in his itty bitty indoor cleats. He also got a little pop up goal you can see in the background. He wore his shoes and xs shin guards for about 2 hours and didn’t want to take them off for nap time. He’s still in his room awake, two hours later, hoping he can come out and play soccer. Thanks everyone for the comments & checking up on me. I still have this headache.

When we had the carpets clean Jeremiah made a racetrack and he would wrap the belt around either the little car or this rocker and pull Davin around. Here is Davin pulling Brendin around. Don’t worry this is completely safe! ;-)
Outside enjoying some fresh air
I went to the ER last night for a CAT scan and it came back normal. The doctor said to give it 2-4 more days and then they’ll do a spinal tap for further testing…They gave me yet another migrane pill while I was there waiting and it didn’t change anything. Today it’s actually worse than it was last night even though they gave me a general pain medication to try. We’ll keep you updated, we probably won’t know anything more until Monday.

I’ve been having a migraine attack or tension headache or something for over a week now. I was at the InstaCare hospital on Monday and the same doctor that diagnosed Davin with pneumonia treated me. He was happy to see Davin but not happy that he couldn’t help me. He gave me a shot for pain but it didn’t change my headache so he told me to get a CT scan. As did my doctor but I’ve been fighting with the ladies at the neurologist office and they are telling me I don’t know how my insurance works… So I’m going to go to the ER to get a CT scan tonight or as soon as Jeremiah gets home. He stayed home yesterday because I was really nauseous and couldn’t stay awake; I’m guessing it was side effects of the shot. But today he had a mandatory training meeting and couldn’t stay home. Needless to say I’m not really feeling like myself and wish they’d figure out what’s wrong with me! All of the medication they give me make me so tired I can’t take care of the kids so there’s no point in taking them. I’ll update everyone on what happens with the CT scan. But for some better news…..

Davin and Jeremiah went to the Monster Jam show here in Salt Lake last week and Davin had a blast!
Today was beautiful and 60 degrees so we went to Sugar House Park. Brendin went swinging for the first time and talked and laughed the whole time! Davin liked pushing Brendin and making him laugh.
Brendin can drink from a sippy cup on his own and tried out some asparagus!
To infinity and beyond!!
Jeremiah has been busy with Harmonic stuff and work and I’ve been busy planning a trip back to the Outer Banks in NC where we used to go. We decided to go for our Anniversary in May and asked my sister and Dad to go with us…aren’t we nice! :-) Brendin has his top two teeth in finally and Davin is still doing great with the potty training…although he had an accident on the living room floor and said “It must have been Brend-O!” Then he said “I’m sorry for pooping on the living room floor mom. I just need more practice…but pooping on the living room floor…it just happens sometimes!” Brendin has gotten really noisy and says “DA DA DA DA DA DA DA!”

Ben and Heather came out with the kids but the guys went to San Diego for ‘business’ so we were left alone with the kids. Let me tell you how much fun it was to get a fish tank light at Petco and buns at the grocery store with 2 adults and 4 children, 2 of which can sprint and 2 that need constant attention!!

We are starting potty training bootcamp. Here we are trying on and modeling our undies, in the 2nd one he’s flexing for you and the 3rd one he’s telling you he has 10 pairs on.

The mailman at Jeremiah’s office was so nice to ask us if Davin wanted their train table that their kids don’t use. We surprised him with it yesterday when he woke up from his nap. He’s giving a double thumbs up. Now he really wants Kaleb to visit, he even said he’s share with him!
Davin and Brendin are feeling much better these days! We’re re-baby proofing the house. It’s been a while since we’ve had a crawler. Davin has been really good with Brendin and gets him a toy or pacifier when he’s crying and tells him “I hear you crying Brendin-O and you can stop now”. We went to the library and Davin saw some kids at story time and asked if he could play with those kids. So we went and checked it out. They read stories, play and have craft time every Monday night. Davin loved it. Every other week they have bilingual story and best of all it’s free. I think we’ll be doing that and some other programs that they have instead of Gymboree. The price is much better!

Brendin's 6 Month Check Up · posted Jan 7, 03:58 AM
Brendin started to get sick so we took him into the doctor on the 2nd and the doctor doesn’t think he has any pneumonia, thankfully! Then on the 4th he had his 6 month check-up even though he was actually 6 1/2 months! He weighed 17lbs 10oz (30-40th percentile) and is 28 1/2 inches long (97th precentile!). Davin was 18lbs 7 oz and 26 1/2 inches on December 29th when he was 6 1/2 months. So Brendin is 2 inches longer and a pound lighter, the numbers show that the pictures do, that Davin was a chunk of a baby!
Here’s a picture when Davin was sick…actually he’s not looking too bad but I had to lie and say I was taking a picture of the wall :)

We hope everyone had a great chrismtas! We had fun, but it was a lot of running around having about 5 get togethers! Something is not working right on our camera and most of our pictures are blurry…hopefully we can get it figured it.
On the drive home Davin started to get more and more sick and we took him to the InstaCare ER last night and got some chest xrays and found pneumonia. He got a shot to get him started and now he’s on the medicine that was in the shot. He definitely does not look good but he is in pretty good spirits for how uncomfortable he must be. Hopefully he’ll get better in a few days.
